Eight people were injured after being hit by a vehicle in Oakland early Saturday morning, according to the police department.
Police said officers were responding to reports of fights near 18th Street and Telegraph Avenue when they received another report regarding a vehicle driving on the sidewalk and striking pedestrians in the 500 block of 18th Street at 1:30 a.m.
