San Francisco Police Utilize RTIC Technology to Apprehend Armed Juvenile Suspects

The San Francisco Police Department has arrested two juvenile male suspects following an incident involving a firearm and criminal threats. On March 27, 2026, at approximately 1:53 p.m., officers were dispatched to a business located on the 1200 block of South Van Ness Avenue. According to the victim, a verbal altercation occurred inside a grocery store with two unknown individuals. The subjects initially fled the scene but returned shortly after to brandish a firearm and make threats before leaving the area on a scooter.

Staff at the Real Time Investigation Center (RTIC) utilized surveillance technology to obtain photographs of the subjects, which were distributed to patrol officers. The suspects were subsequently located near 8th and Market streets.
