Bay Area cocaine trafficking bust nets 5 arrests, large drug haul

(KRON) — A cocaine trafficking investigation that spanned several months in Vallejo and the surrounding Bay Area resulted in the seizure of 3 kilograms of the narcotic, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.

Across numerous search warrants executed by the FBI Sacramento Division and Solano County Violent Crime Task Force, law enforcement said they also seized 66 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 85 pounds of processed marijuana, and 253 marijuana plants. One firearm and $85,396 in U.S. currency were located in the searches, the sheriff’s office said.

Five people were arrested in connection with the investigation for conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
