An uninsured driver with a suspended license was jailed after a crash at a busy shopping plaza in The Villages.
An officer responded to a traffic crash involving 41-year-old Sara Jane Coyne of Inverness at County Road 466A and Pinellas Place at Pinellas Plaza around 12:15 p.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
Coyne gave her statement about what happened in the crash before advising that National General Insurance had the insurance policy for her vehicle. However, her policy had been canceled on June 22, and she had no other insurance at the time, the report said.
The officer also checked her driver’s license and learned it was suspended. She had penalties from unpaid traffic fines on March 16, as well as two suspensions on June 15, the report said…
