A resident of Spruce Creek South was arrested after tossing crack cocaine out of her car window during a traffic stop.
An officer stopped 61-year-old Diana Lynn Macgregor of the 55+ community in Summerfield in a black Chrysler 300 for a stop bar violation at Southwest Fort King Street and Southwest 13th Avenue on the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 4, according to an arrest report from the Ocala Police Department.
Once he activated his emergency lights, the officer saw a small object be tossed from the front passenger window. Macgregor stated it was a cigarette, although she was currently smoking one that did not look new, the report said.
A review of dash cam footage determined where the object had landed, and searching the area yielded no cigarettes, burnt cigarettes or cigarette filters. There was only a small plastic eye drop bottle containing crack cocaine, the report said…
