Reckless driver with revoked license arrested at hotel in Lady Lake

An Ocala man was arrested with methamphetamine after being stopped for reckless driving near the Microtel hotel in Lady Lake.

Officers responded to Skyline Drive and High Street around 1:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, regarding 37-year-old Ivan Trinidad Sanchez Alvarado driving recklessly in a black Chevy Suburban, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

As the officers approached the intersection of First Street and Skyline Drive, they saw the vehicle coming toward them. It made a right turn toward the Microtel Inn & Suites, located at 850 U.S. Hwy. 27, and exposed the bumper. The vehicle did not have a license plate attached, the report said.

The officers then conducted a traffic stop, and the vehicle stopped toward the exit of the parking lot. Sanchez Alvarado opened his door and got out, at which point he was commanded to stay in place. He advised that he did not have a driver’s license and provided his Social Security Number instead, the report said…
