A Belleview teen was arrested for falsely pulling a fire alarm after an unsuccessful attempt at confronting her ex-boyfriend.
Officers responded to the Oakleaf Villages Apartment Homes on County Road 46 when 18-year-old Kahniyah Chann’tell Nelson pulled the fire alarm around 2:25 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
When officers arrived, they noticed the fire alarm had been set off in building 23 and had disturbed its occupants. A female resident advised that Nelson had been banging on her door and refused to leave. Because she did not open the door, Nelson got angry and pulled the fire alarm. This caused an uproar in the area and disturbed the peace in the building, the report said.
The resident did not know Nelson, but the man staying with her possibly did. She showed the officer a photo of Nelson on her cell phone from Ring camera footage. The officers then canvassed the area until they found her on the right side of the building, the report said…
