A Coleman man was arrested for battery after allegedly pushing a woman to the ground during an argument in his trailer.
On the night of Aug. 17, dispatch received a 911 call concerning an injured female victim at the home of 25-year-old Ka’Darion Davontae Turner on Nelson Street in Coleman, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim advised that she had been waiting at a friend’s house for Turner to pick her up. He arrived, sent her a text message saying he was outside, and left when she did not respond. Her friend then drove her to his single-wide mobile home, the report said.
Turner was angry that the victim did not respond to his message. While they argued inside, she stood facing him with her back to the open doorway. The entrance was elevated about four steps above the ground, the report said…
