Students at 19 elementary campuses across Marion County will receive free fresh fruit and vegetable snacks throughout the school year, following the approval and acceptance of a state grant award.
During its regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 22, the Marion County School Board voted unanimously to accept $606,600 from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services through the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program.
