A Summerfield woman with a history of theft allegedly stole alcoholic beverages and candy from a local Circle K.
A deputy responded to Circle K, located at U.S. Hwy. 441 and Sunset Harbor Road in Summerfield, for thefts allegedly committed by 40-year-old Ashley Suzanne Gray on Thursday evening, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The store manager first noticed Gray stealing from the store several days earlier. Surveillance footage showed she concealed $16.09 worth of alcoholic beverages and candy under her jacket before walking to the fountain drink area. She poured herself a drink and paid only for that, the report said.
When Gray returned on Thursday, the store manager watched as she stashed another $23.94 worth of Buzzballz and candy inside a bag. She paid for a fountain drink and nothing else. The store manager confronted her about both incidents, offering to give her food if she needed it, but she refused and left the store, the report said…
