Eastport continues rapid growth with amenities, restaurants, new neighborhood

With the opening of a new restaurant, and construction progressing on the new Village of Green Hill Grove, development in and around Eastport is reaching major new milestones.

Indoor and outdoor activity spaces are also plentiful at Eastport, highlighted by the Olympia Recreation Center, which features Olympic-themed art installations, vaulted ceilings, and administrative areas.

Visitors driving along the main Eastport Drive will now see signs for multiple new businesses that are in various stages of development.

That includes Peach Valley Café, which will be situated at the intersection of Dewey Drive and Eastport Drive.

It also includes Tacos & Tequila Cantina, which is under construction right next to Oak & Stone.

Oak & Stone just recently celebrated its grand opening on Oct. 6.

Commercial walkways such as Shooks Alley already feature storefronts that include Mia Sorella, Go Fish, and The Villages Logo Store.

Outside of the reparts of the town square are largely blocked off to motorized traffic, pedestrians can gain access to multiple areas that feature excellent photo opportunities.

One of those spots is Sunset Island, which is situated on the waterfront.

A pedestrian bridge now spans the water to connect visitors to Sunset Island.

Another great photo opportunity is the large stage area for entertainment that is also situated on the waterfront. It gives great views of the nearby Hotel Eastport and the large Welcome Center.

The town square’s culinary options are also continuing to expand, as previously reported by Villages-News.com…
