Resident of Wildwood RV Village busted with fentanyl in his SUV

A resident of Wildwood RV Village was arrested after a K-9 unit sniffed out fentanyl and several cut straws in his vehicle.

A deputy was headed south on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Leesburg when he noticed 36-year-old Adam Richard Jarrett driving a white 2004 GMC SUV with a poorly lit tag at midnight on Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

After stopping the vehicle, the deputy asked for consent to search it. Jarratt advised that there was nothing illegal in the vehicle and denied consent. A K-9 unit subsequently responded to the scene and alerted to the odor of narcotics, meaning the vehicle would be searched regardless, the report said.

Jarratt and the passenger were then removed from the vehicle and searched. While looking through the passenger’s pocket, he found a black digital scale with methamphetamine residue on it, the report said…
