Disrespected drinker jailed after allegedly shoving girlfriend’s son to the ground

A Wildwood man was arrested for battery after allegedly shoving his girlfriend’s son to the ground due to feeling disrespected.

Officers responded to the home of 50-year-old James Wade Cason on Pleasant Dale Drive regarding a domestic disturbance around 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

Upon arrival, they saw multiple people yelling and screaming, and heard what sounded like objects being thrown in the side porch area. Cason was seen yelling and initially ran into the side entrance of the home. The officers commanded him to come back out while they went inside to interview his girlfriend and her son, the report said.

The girlfriend advised that Cason had been drinking all day and had gotten into multiple verbal arguments with her and her son. There were several occasions where he aggressively approached her son and bumped chests with him. She did not see what started the physical incident, but she heard a crash and looked to see Cason standing over her son, the report said…
