A Lady Lake man was arrested for driving with a suspended license after crossing several lines on the way out of Circle K.
A deputy watched as a silver Kia minivan left the parking lot of Circle K, located at 1527 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, at 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. As the driver, 35-year-old Jacob Howard Carroll, exited the gas station, he crossed two solid yellow lines and a striped median to get into the left-turn lane.
Once the vehicle started heading north on U.S. Hwy. 441, the deputy stopped it at the intersection with County Road 109. A subsequent check of Carroll’s license determined it had been suspended indefinitely on Feb. 23 for unpaid financial obligations. He also had two prior convictions for driving with an invalid license, the report said.
Carroll was arrested on charges of driving while license suspended or revoked (third or subsequent violation) and probation violation. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond…
