Today: the afternoon storm window to know

This morning in the Orlando area should remain manageable. Dewpoints are sitting in the upper 60s and 70s, providing the atmospheric energy that fuels Florida’s warm-season storms. That energy is expected to convert into activity during the afternoon and evening, with the primary storm window falling between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Outdoor plans before midafternoon carry a lower risk. Temperatures will peak near 94 degrees.

Mother’s Day Sunday: the more concerning day
