INDIAHOMA, Okla. (KFOR) — U.S. Fish and Wildlife Officer David Taylor is believed to have died in the flames of the Railroad South Fire that was burning near Indiahoma Saturday.
The Wichita Wildlife Refuge posted online Sunday that he was going door-to-door with emergency crews trying to help families get out and go to safety.
At one point Taylor had lost contact with dispatch while trying to save a family by getting them to evacuate their home.
Evidence recovered from a structure that he had been helping indicated he died during that effort…
