OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Second graders at King Elementary open literacy kits at the start of every school day for an hour and 15 minutes focused on the basics of reading and writing.
“Our reading proficient levels were not where they should be,” said Keairra Watson, a second grade teacher at King Elementary.
