Troopers Find 133 Violations During Vehicle Inspections Held in Sarpy County

OMAHA, Neb. — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) Carrier Enforcement Division conducted local commercial vehicle inspections on Thursday, May 7, in Sarpy County.

During this effort, the Metropolitan Aggressive and Prevention Selective (MAPS) Team conducted 27 vehicle inspections. Troopers discovered 133 violations of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and state law. Troopers placed 12 vehicles out of service (not allowed to return to the road). Additionally, troopers placed 3 drivers out of service.

Vehicles are placed out of service for a variety of reasons relating to bad brakes or tires, or other problems that pose immediate safety risks. Troopers issued a total of 22 citations during the inspections…
