Tamara Heritage Restaurant Coming to Church Street Could Be a Sign of Life

A new Indian restaurant is headed to one of Church Street’s more recognizable restaurant spaces, just as the city is working to make the downtown corridor more pedestrian-friendly.

Tamara Heritage is planning to open at 55 W. Church Street, in the former home of The Rusty Spoon and Elize. Orlando Weekly first reported the news earlier this week.

The concept comes from Mandy and Gagan Singh, owners of Tamara Modern Indian Cuisine near Universal Orlando and Tamara Lake Mary. They told Orlando Weekly that Heritage will be a more elevated concept, with curated tasting and set menus and a focus on higher-end service and presentation. They hope to open before the end of the year
