ORLANDO, Fla. – Jury selection is underway for the man accused of opening fire into a Halloween crowd in downtown Orlando in 2024, killing two people and wounding seven others.
Jaylen Edgar was 17 at the time of the shooting and was charged as an adult. He faces two counts of first-degree murder, seven counts of attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a minor, and culpable negligence with personal injury.
Edgar, now 18, is accused of fatally shooting Tyrek Hill, 25, and Timothy Schmidt Jr., 19, during Halloween celebrations in downtown Orlando, also injuring seven others…
