A Florida amusement park that was stormed by a huge group of teens last weekend is introducing a new chaperone policy.
After a Saturday, April 25 incident in which over 1,000 teenagers swarmed ICON Park in Orlando, Fla. — leading to fights and multiple arrests — the park is warning that its strict new chaperone policy may be activated at any time without prior notice.
The policy states that guests 17 years of age or younger must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone 21 years or older to enter the park. One chaperone may accompany no more than six guests at a time, and chaperones must remain inside the park during their visit and be reachable by phone at all times.
“ICON Park does not assume responsibility or liability for unattended minors. Parents, guardians, and chaperones may be held legally liable for the actions of the minors under their supervision,” the park said in a statement shared with PEOPLE…
