WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (WPEC) — East Central Florida will continue to see a typical late-spring pattern this week, with isolated to scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms developing each day.
Today, the highest storm chances will be focused south and west of Orlando as sea breezes—winds moving inland from the coast—push storms toward the interior. A few showers and storms may also drift onshore overnight along the Treasure Coast as activity develops over the Atlantic waters.

Temperatures will remain hot through the week, with highs reaching the upper 80s along the coast and low 90s inland. Warm overnight lows in the 70s, especially near the coast, will provide little relief from the humidity. Heat-related impacts are expected to become more common later this week and into the weekend, especially for people spending long periods outdoors without proper hydration or cooling.
At the beaches, dangerous surf conditions continue. A high risk of rip currents remains in place for all Central Florida Atlantic beaches today, and entering the water is strongly discouraged…
