KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Northbound U.S. 169 has reopened near the Kansas City Downtown Airport – but the road looks very different now.
The Missouri Department of Transportation announced the reopening on Wednesday, May 27, in a new head-to-head traffic pattern across the southbound U.S. 169 Viaduct Bridge.
Transportation leaders said traffic now runs one lane in each direction on the same bridge structure, with a reduced speed limit of 45 mph – down from 55 mph – through the entire project area…
