Former TV, podcast co-host identified as victim of deadly Sunday shooting in KCK

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – James Dodds, a former TV and podcast sidekick of Jason Whitlock, was identified Tuesday as the victim of a deadly shooting in Kansas City, Kansas, on Sunday night.

Detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department identified the 64-year-old man, who was known as “Uncle Jimmy,” during Whitlock’s radio career in Kansas City and while appearing on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak for Yourself.”

Dodds was found by police Sunday night outside a home in the 3000 block of N. 82nd Terrace suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported in critical condition to an area hospital where he died from his injuries Monday morning…
