Kansas City, Missouri – An 18-year-old has received a 30-year prison term for an armed robbery at a local Waffle House that unfolded just one month before he carried out a fatal shooting at a convenience store across county lines. The consecutive crimes left one man dead and several others fearing for their lives during a span of weeks last year. The Armed Holdup at Waffle House
The first incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. on an August 2025 night in Clay County. A man had arrived at the Waffle House with his ex-girlfriend. After she left the restaurant, he followed her outside. Undrellius Fleck then approached the man while brandishing a handgun.
The victim ran back inside and jumped over the counter to hide behind a waitress. Fleck pursued him into the restaurant, pointed the weapon at the victim, and demanded his cellphone. When the man hesitated, Fleck turned the gun toward the waitress and said he would shoot her. The victim surrendered the phone, and Fleck fled.
