A motorcyclist died early Sunday after crashing on Interstate 435 in Kansas City and catching fire, according to the Kansas City Police Department.
A preliminary investigation found the driver of a blue and silver Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle was traveling at an extremely high rate of speed when, for reasons still under investigation, the rider applied heavy front braking.
