With temperatures hovering around 100 degrees, fans packed into Kansas City’s brand-new Morton Amphitheater for an evening that felt tailor-made for the heat, sweat and excess of classic hard rock. By the time Motley Crue took the stage, roughly three-quarters of the venue appeared to be filled, with an enthusiastic crowd that had arrived early and remained engaged throughout the night.
