Severe winds knock out power to thousands across Kansas City metro

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Severe winds knocked down power lines and trees Wednesday afternoon, leaving thousands of people without power across the Kansas City metro area.

Evergy’s outage map showed more than 2,600 customers without electricity, including residents in Lake Winnebago, Pleasant Hill, Strasburg, and Holden.
