Overland Park takes step toward trash, recycling service improvements

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) – The City of Overland Park moved forward with plans to improve trash and recycling services for residents.

During Monday’s city council meeting, the council voted to begin a process that could result in Overland Park contracting with one or more trash providers to establish a solid waste system for the entire city.

City-contracted services would not begin until January 2029 at the earliest…
