MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Gulf Coast remains in a typical early-summer pattern today, but some important changes are on the horizon. While rain chances stay relatively low through the weekend, a surge of tropical moisture is expected to arrive next week, bringing higher rain chances and cooler temperatures to Mobile, Pensacola, and the surrounding area.
Today looks like the driest day of the forecast period. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs near 90° and heat index values pushing into the mid to upper 90s during the afternoon.
A stray shower can’t be completely ruled out, but rain chances are less than 10%, and most communities will stay dry from sunrise to sunset…
