PENSACOLA, Fla. — A 49-year-old Pensacola man with a history of violent and drug-related convictions has been sentenced to 11 years in prison after authorities said an undercover operation tied him to cocaine sales, a cache of drugs, and firearms inside his home.
Marcel Mickles was sentenced after previously pleading guilty to multiple counts of distributing cocaine, unlawful possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, and possession of firearms by a previously convicted felon.
According to court records, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office received information that Mickles was selling cocaine from his residence in Pensacola. As part of an undercover operation, cocaine was purchased from Mickles, and investigators later obtained a search warrant for his home…
