Why were the new artificial reefs intended to provide recreational sites?
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — New artificial reefs are taking shape off Northwest Florida’s coast as Escambia County and Santa Rosa County begin deploying the Esca-Rosa Regional Reefs, a series of reef sites backed by more than $1.1 million in combined grant funding and a multiyear partnership between the two counties.
