Chrome, Curves and Community: Classic Cars Shine Across Hopewell Valley

For classic car enthusiasts, last Sunday offered an embarrassment of riches.

Just a few miles apart, two annual car shows celebrated automotive history in very different settings. At Washington Crossing Historic Park in Pennsylvania, the Rebels & Redcoats Classic Car Show paired beautifully restored automobiles with Revolutionary-era history as we continue America 250 commemorations. Meanwhile, Needle Creek Brewery in Pennington welcomed car lovers for a relaxed afternoon among vintage vehicles set against the backdrop of the working farm brewery.

Everything from gleaming chrome and colorful muscle cars to pre-war classics, vintage pickups, Corvettes, Volkswagens and meticulously restored sedans drew crowds throughout the day.

The Rebels & Redcoats show featured vehicles representing the nations tied to the American Revolution—American, British, French and German marques—along with an open class for other makes and models.
