Cecilia opened Monday, September 21, at 266 E. Fourth St., the former home of Taphouse 23. The contemporary American restaurant comes from 1743 Hospitality, the group behind the historic Blue Bell Inn.
A Family Connection
Taphouse 23 opened in 2014, replacing a restaurant called the Point. Its owner, Gary Johnson, was often called Bridgeport’s “unofficial mayor,”. Johnson died in 2021.
