A man is in custody after a woman was found dead due to severe blunt force trauma to her head in her North Philadelphia home, police told NBC10.
Melvin Rivera, 46, was taken into custody on Saturday, Sept. 26, after 48-year-old Maria Pagan was found dead in her home at the 1200 block of Erie Avenue at about 5:53 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, according to police.
Rivera is facing a murder charge, as well as a charge of possessing an instrument of a crime with intent, according to court documents. He remains in custody and was denied bail…
