Robbery at Wilmington Shell Gas Station Under Investigation by Delaware State Police

WILMINGTON, DE — The Delaware State Police are actively investigating a robbery that took place at a Shell gas station in Wilmington on Thursday.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:44 p.m., prompting troopers to swiftly respond to the gas station located on Kennett Pike after receiving a report of the robbery.

The suspect involved in the incident is an unidentified male, described as light-skinned and wearing dark clothing. During the robbery, he threatened an employee, implying he had a concealed gun, and demanded various vape and tobacco products.

Following the robbery, the suspect fled the scene on foot, heading northwest. Although a K9 unit was deployed and successfully recovered the stolen vape products, the suspect remains at large.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit is leading the investigation into this robbery. They are seeking assistance from the public and encourage anyone with information related to the incident to contact Detective D. Armstrong or Delaware Crime Stoppers.
