Aviation unit, technology help search and rescue of missing, endangered woman in Peoria neighborhood

PEORIA, Ariz. — The Peoria Police Department said an aviation unit and Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) technology helped successfully find a missing, endangered woman in a Peoria neighborhood.

On April 24, around 11 p.m., the Peoria Police Aviation Unit assisted the Glendale Police Department in locating a missing, endangered woman suffering from dementia. Police said that due to her condition, the situation was considered urgent and life-threatening.

Family members previously put an Apple AirTag inside the woman’s vehicle, which showed her last known location near Lone Mountain Parkway and Vistancia Boulevard…
