Man who stabbed ‘out of convenience’ is convicted in Shadyside attack

A Shadyside man who said he stabbed someone in the head three years ago “out of convenience” was found guilty Tuesday of attempted homicide.

Jasper Jacob Hilliard, 24, will be sentenced by Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Edward J. Borkowski on Sept. 21. Borkowski presided over a bench trial earlier this month before rendering his verdict Tuesday.
