South Side housing prices test Pittsburgh’s ‘affordable’ label

Pittsburgh is known for its affordable housing market, but the South Side neighborhood is bucking that trend.

The median listing price for homes in Pittsburgh was about $250,000 as of late 2025, according to Realtor.com. That’s more than $150,000 below the national median.
