As of 9:30 p.m. Friday, the National Weather Service had lifted several flash flood and severe thunderstorm warnings for Allegheny and Westmoreland counties.
Flash flood warnings were issued beginning at 5:45 p.m. and intermittently lifted throughout the evening, with forecasts predicting 1 to 2 inches of rainfall per hour.
