VANCOUVER British Columbia (KPTV) – Forensic pollen testing has revealed that an unidentified woman whose body was found floating in Vancouver’s English Bay in 2022 may have spent her final days in the Portland or Seattle area, prompting Canadian investigators to renew a cross-border appeal for help identifying her.
The Vancouver Police Department said Monday that analysis by a U.S. Customs and Border Protection laboratory in Chicago found pollen grains and fern spores on the woman’s sweater consistent with an urban environment in the Pacific Northwest, “plausibly Seattle or Portland.”
Investigators said the testing also sed an almost complete absence of pollen associated with the Vancouver BC area, suggesting the woman was likely not from the Canadian city…
