PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A burger spot in a Portland mall slated for closure will shut down sooner than expected.
Stoopid Burger’s Lloyd Center location will shutter on Sunday, June 14, the business has announced. It was previously scheduled to shutter weeks later on June 28, but owners said news of the mall’s closure “understandably created a lot of uncertainty” among customers.

“Unfortunately, many people assumed businesses inside the mall had already closed, and customer traffic declined significantly as a result,” Stoopid Burger wrote on social media. “Since day one, Stoopid Burger has been built differently. We’ve always taken pride in growing responsibly, operating without debt, and making decisions that protect the long-term future of our business. While we hoped to continue serving Lloyd Center longer, we cannot allow one location to jeopardize the future of the company, our team, and the communities we serve.”
