PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — In a memo to councilors on Monday, Portland Mayor Keith Wilson warned the city’s affordable housing portfolio could soon face financial insolvency.
“Barring swift action, major housing assets may cease operations in as little as six months,” he wrote.
The memo comes as Portland nears its 12th year in a declared housing emergency.
