Portland tiny home company evicted, faces Oregon DOJ investigation

PORTLAND, Oregon — The Oregon Department of Justice is investigating Tiny Heirloom, a Portland-based tiny home company, after a KGW investigation exposed the company for taking large deposits from customers and failing to deliver their homes.

The DOJ confirmed its investigation roughly a month after Tiny Heirloom was evicted from its Northeast Portland building for failing to pay more than $153,000 in rent, according to court filings.

That outstanding debt prompted the building’s owners to file an eviction complaint in February — the same month KGW shared new criticism from customers who paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in deposits for luxury tiny homes that the company didn’t complete…
