Portland sweltered its way through record-breaking heat Sunday, as temperatures hit 94. It smashed June 14’s previous record of 89, set in 1988, the National Weather Service said.
It broke the record shortly before 3 p.m., and the National Weather Service warned the heat’s not over yet.
An extreme heat warning is in effect for the area until 11 a.m. Tuesday, with temperatures expected to peak Monday as they flirt with 100 degrees, the weather service said…
