TUALATIN, Ore.–A patient’s cell phone caused a dangerous situation, at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center.
The patient reported that the cell phone became unusually hot, began making unusual electrical noises, and started smoking. Hospital workers used a fire extinguisher, and Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue put the phone in water to prevent it from re-igniting.
