PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Officials have more questions than answers after investigators say a man was lit on fire in Portland’s Old Town last week.
Portland police said around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, officers responded to a fire in Portland’s Waterfront Park and found Anthony “Tony” Knights, 54, near his favorite park bench.
“Mr. Knights had significant burns, severe burns over a significant portion of his body,” Portland Police Bureau spokesperson Mike Benner said. “The initial investigation suggested that these burns were the result of an intentional act, committed by somebody who fled the scene.”…
