PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A teen hiker was rescued and later hospitalized on Monday after falling down an embankment at Elowah Falls trail, authorities announced.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office led a multi-agency effort to rescue the critically-injured teen, who fell down a 100-foot embankment at the trail, east of Warrendale.
The rescue team was made up of several ground teams, including the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Green Hornets, Cascade Locks Fire, Multnomah County Search and Rescue and Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue.
