WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) – A man has been found guilty of stealing gold from a museum in Hillsboro in 2023, according to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.
Vincent Charles Roberts II, 35, was convicted on Aug. 7 of second-degree burglary, first-degree aggravated theft, first-degree theft, and first-degree criminal mischief.
On Dec. 24, 2023, Roberts broke into the Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks & Minerals. He then used a sledgehammer to smash display cases and stole nearly all of the gold from an exhibit…
