PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Portland firefighter was injured and taken to a hospital during a response to a home fire on Saturday evening.
Just after 7 p.m., Portland Fire and Rescue said crews responded to the blaze at a building on North Missouri Avenue.

The firefighter who was injured sustained minor burns while fighting the fire. He has since been released from the hospital.
While he was inside the building with other team members, “a window failed, resulting in a flashover-type event inside the home,” resulting in the injury, PF&R said.

No other firefighters or civilians were injured during the fire. However, the homeowner is receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
